They said for me to work independently I need to go to the school's disability center to prove that I have a disability that prevents me from group work. The Caucasian
student has not been requested the same proof. Also, I've never been diagnosed with any type of disability, ever.

I believe I'm treated unfairly and this is quite upsetting as I feel my right to study is being violated again and again.

I'm currently on a Study Permit enrolled in the Masters program in Canada, but due to grading and financial reasons, I can't continue. Can I somehow apply for a Work Permit instead?

My business was working with a client for a few months & being paid monthly. The client then makes a large investment of $11K on the terms that it would be paid back by continuing our monthly services with them, five months of work or so. The client later on decides they no longer want to do this, on no reasonable terms, and wants us to stop our services and pay them back in cash. They are now sending us threatening messages and we're trying to figure out where we stand legally as we cannot afford a lawyer at this time.

If a client pays a cash deposit, upon agreeing to a verbal contract, based on a physical proposal that was agreed to, and then wants to pull out of the agreement, am I legally obligated to refund the deposit?
